Having graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law in 1999, Kartal continued painting studios in RHMD (Association of Painting and Sculpture Museums) and Balat Art House and Atelier Arts-In between 2005 and 2018.

The artist currently continues her works in Istanbul.
