She began her art studies with art of illumination (illuminated manuscript) in the workshop of the master Mamure Öz Semih İrteş at Sema Embroidery Workshop in 1994. Later, she worked in oil painting, pastel and watercolour in various workshops. At present, she continues her watercolour works at Saim Altuncu Workshop. In addition, in recent years, she has been interested also in Mail Art and undertaken projects in this field.
Children have an important place in the life of the artist who has an activist personality. She is the founding president of Sapanca Children's Association, as well as the president of Kasımpaşa Oya Kayacık Child Houses Site Protection Association, after working and serving as secretary thereat for many years. She continues to work on art and environment projects in her hometown of Sapanca.
